Lucius Patenaude // Writer, Director, Editor
Lucius Patenaude is a writer/director who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Previously, while earning a degree in journalism at Abilene Christian University (Texas), he spent all his free time writing and directing short films. Most of them were pretty bad. Before that, Lucius spent K-12 living next to rice paddies in northern Thailand, making even worse videos. His latest project, Third Kind, was shot in Austin, Texas during New Years because that’s just how he likes to spend his free time.
Adrian Patenaude // Writer, Producer
Adrian Patenaude is a writer, filmmaker and public relations professional based in Austin, Texas. She grew up in rural northern Thailand, where her parents still serve as missionaries. After graduating from Abilene Christian University with a degree in advertising and public relations, she moved to Austin for its indie film community.
Katheryn Cansino // Producer
Katheryn Cansino is on the scenic route to becoming a film executive. Working as a Financial Analyst at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, Katheryn is an advisor for ACU FilmFest and takes any opportunity she can to work on indie film projects. Most recently she started pursuing a doctoral degree and hopes to one day put her knowledge to work full-time in the film industry.
Brandon Reich // Director of Photography
Brandon Reich grew up in Magnolia, Texas and is an alumnus of the New York Film Academy, Columbia College Chicago, and The Second City. He currently teaches film with the Austin Film Society, and does freelance producing, shooting, and editing of custom videos with commercial and non-commercial content. Along with consistently creating short-form content, Brandon aspires to write and direct feature comedic films.
Todd Waldron // Composer, Sound Design, VO
Todd Waldron is an Austin-based film composer, audio engineer and technologist. He has worked in the local film industry since 2006, composing music and providing location and post-production sound services for film. He prefers to use real instruments and organic sound sources in his compositions in order to provide as much character, depth, color, tone and texture as possible. Todd often plays most if not all of the instruments he records for his compositions. Todd has engineered entire film projects from production to the final mix, including sessions for VO, ADR, Foley, Sound Design and Scoring. Todd holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Classical Guitar) from West Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from St. Edward's University.
Perry Trest // Colorist
Working as a motion picture colorist, Perry enhances cinematography in the post-production editorial process to prepare television programs, music videos, commercials, and independent films for proper artistic and technical display in cinema, broadcast, Blu-ray, or web release. The color of these images is meticulously adjusted through a process referred to as color grading, to achieve a certain visual look, directing the viewers’ visual perception of the story through color. It’s been claimed that Perry is an “all-around nice guy”, but he personally invites you to come by and see for yourself.
Weston Schulte // Abductee
Weston Dane Schulte is an actor living in Los Angeles, CA. Having read and performed roles across the theatrical spectrum: from preppy German college student to crashed alien being, Weston has breathed life into a variety of characters. Before his acting career, Weston attended Abilene Christian University from 2010-2014 and acquired a B.S. in communication and a minor in business administration. During this time, he worked at 89.7 KACU Abilene Public Radio as a DJ, news anchor, and news editor. Shortly afterward, Weston moved to LA and began his acting career in January 2015.
